About Magma Math
Magma is one of the world's fastest-growing and most celebrated EdTech companies, transforming math education through the power of AI. Our platform turns handwritten solutions into digital insights, empowering teachers to focus on creativity and deeper learning - while giving them real-time visibility into student progress.
The result? More inclusive, engaging, and effective math classrooms for all learners.
But we're not just building better tools. We're tackling one of the biggest challenges in global education: math
underperformance. With 1 in 5 students globally struggling in math - a subject that forms the backbone of so many career paths - we believe the opportunity to improve outcomes at scale is massive.
We're already the go-to solution in thousands of schools - and we're just getting started. As we expand rapidly across the U.S. and Europe, we're building a team as ambitious as our mission: to help millions of students unlock their full potential in math.
The Role
The Product & Tech team at Magma is divided into three core experiences: Teacher, Student and District. With a growing user base and plenty of problems to solve, we're hiring a Product Director of Student Experience to own the student-facing part of our product and take full ownership of the space.
You will define the vision and strategy for the student experience, manage stakeholders across the organization, and align priorities across teams. You are ultimately responsible for making sure every feature we ship moves the needle for learners.
At the same time, you will act as Product Manager for one of the product units - working side-by-side with developers, QA and designers to plan, build and launch features. You will own a domain end-to-end - from figuring out what problem is worth solving, to shipping a solution, to making sure it actually creates value.
Who you are and what you know
Have experience structuring complex problems, aligning stakeholders, and turning ambiguous challenges into clear strategies
Have experience leading and growing product teams; you know how to build structure and set meaningful KPIs
Be hands-on across the full product development cycle: user research, design, implementation, testing. This is not a pure project manager role where you are only coordinating
Have strong technical understanding, enough to engage with engineers
Be structured and always questioning the status quo - you plan ahead and look for better ways to work
Be curious and eager to learn - and a team player who understands others' perspectives
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Student Experience
Leading a team of developers, QAs and designers as hands-on PM for one product unit, from discovery to implementation.
Coordinating efforts across the product, tech, customer success and revenue teams
Setting KPIs and long-term goal structures
Mentoring and developing team members
