Account Executive Germany
About Magma Math
Magma is one of the world’s fastest-growing and most celebrated edtech companies, transforming math education through the power of AI. Our platform turns handwritten solutions into digital insights, empowering teachers to focus on creativity and deeper learning — while giving them real-time visibility into student progress.
The result? More inclusive, engaging, and effective math classrooms for all learners.
But we’re not just building better tools. We’re tackling one of the biggest challenges in global education: math underperformance. With 1 in 5 students globally struggling in math — a subject that forms the backbone of so many career paths — we believe the opportunity to improve outcomes at scale is massive.
We’re already the go-to solution in thousands of schools — and we’re just getting started. As we expand rapidly across the U.S. and Europe (now Germany!), we’re building a team as ambitious as our mission: to help millions of students unlock their full potential in math.
The Role
The Sales team at Magma Math powers our growth and ensures our platform reaches the teachers and students who need it most. Germany is a key market for us, and a major opportunity to expand our impact in classrooms nationwide.
We’re looking for a driven Account Executive who’s excited to help build our presence from the ground up. This isn’t a role where everything is already figured out. It’s for someone who’s curious, proactive, and motivated by ownership. If you enjoy moving fast and figuring things out as you go, you’ll feel right at home.
In this role, you’ll focus on sourcing new leads and closing deals with schools across Germany. You’ll work with a mix of self-sourced and qualified inbound leads through a sales cycle of around two months. Success comes from building strong relationships with directors of education and decision makers in local authorities, understanding their challenges, and clearly showing how Magma solves real classroom problems.
You’ll represent Magma at trade shows and networking events, turning conversations into meaningful opportunities. Along the way, you’ll help bring our fun, energetic culture to life in every interaction with customers.
This role offers real ownership and real impact. You’ll play a key part in shaping how our Germany team grows, joining early in a journey backed by a world-leading product, strong market traction, and a supportive, ambitious team.
Responsibilities:
Own the full sales cycle from lead to close, including prospecting, demos, and multi-threading across district stakeholders.
Represent Magma Math at conferences and in-person meetings with school district leaders, directors of education and directors of math.
Understand how districts are thinking about math achievement, funding, and teacher support, and help them connect those goals to our solution.
Collaborate internally with your team, and cross-functionally with district success managers, marketing, and product to share insights and continuously refine our approach.
Think like an owner: if you see something broken, you fix it. We’re not just selling software, we’re building a company.
How to Be Successful:
Demonstrate relentless energy and belief in Magma Math’s mission to improve educational opportunities for all.
Act proactively, seek ownership, and pursue solutions with urgency.
Operate as a self-starter: take initiative and bring solutions to the table before being asked.
Be energized by engaging with others, and build trust and confidence with teachers and leaders through clear, adaptable communication.
Be coachable, curious, and always striving to improve your craft.
Requirements:
You care deeply about public education and believe math is a gateway to opportunity.
You have 2-3 years of sales experience - bonus if it is in edtech! While we typically hire people with 2+ years of software sales experience, we’re open to anyone who can prove they’ll succeed in this role.
You have fluent English and German at native or C1–C2 level.
You’re not afraid to pick up the phone and call.
You are competitive with yourself and those around you. We love people with a disciplined background who show up ready to win.
You want to be part of something special and grow on a team. We promise: you will grow tremendously here, you will make a meaningful impact, and you will make an impact on tens of thousands of student’s lives.
