Join us in reshaping Canadian math instruction at Magma. You'll be working to build out a world-class math curriculum that's well aligned to Canadian expectations and engages millions of students!
About Magma Math
Magma Math is a startup that has quickly grown to become the leading platform for data-driven math education. By capturing students’ handwritten work in a digital format, Magma helps teachers highlight creativity and problem-solving while getting clear, actionable insight into what students understand. The result is a more engaging, inclusive, and rewarding math classroom for every learner.
Math is still one of the biggest challenges in schools, and about one in five students are considered low performers. At the same time, math is foundational to so many future pathways and careers. We believe improving how students learn math is one of the highest-impact opportunities to strengthen educational outcomes and expand long-term prospects for children and young adults.
Magma Math is growing quickly across the North America and Europe. We are an ambitious, mission-driven team working to improve math education for millions of students, and we are looking for people who want their work to make a real difference.
The Role
You’ll be part of our curriculum team, helping shape and scale Magma Math’s curriculum for the Canadian market. This role is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, or instructional design who’s ready to take more ownership and grow their impact.
Your primary focus will be ensuring our math content is well-aligned with Canadian curriculum. That means mapping content to provincial curriculum expectations and scope and sequence documents, reviewing and improving problems, and helping build question banks (including generating new questions with internal tools and AI models). At the end of the day, your goal will be to make teachers’ lives easier and help students have better math lessons.
You’ll collaborate closely with teammates across North America and Europe while having plenty of autonomy to drive your own projects. We work cross-functionally at Magma, so you’ll get real exposure to how product development, sales, and customer success teams operate. If you’re excited to learn fast and take ownership, you’ll find plenty of room to grow your role over time.
