Magma is a startup that has quickly grown to become the leading platform for data-driven math education. By leveraging handwritten solutions in a digital format, Magma allows teachers to place emphasis on creativity in math, while gaining key insights into student progression. This creates a more engaging, inclusive and pedagogical math class for all students.

The Role

We are looking for a builder who wants to help us scale our content – meaning math problems, theory, and everything else math-related you might find on a math platform – in ways that will eventually transform the role of a content creator at Magma, to a content moderator. In the content team, we have historically had pretty human-intensive content creation processes, no matter if it has been about creating or reviewing problems, aligning already existing content to various educational schemes, or about tagging relevant mathematical skills to problems. As a Scaling Content engineer, you will be part of a team of four, and work towards ensuring that our content creation processes become a lot more efficient. We are not thinking x2, x3 here, or even x10, but rather x1000. We want to automate as much as possible of our content creation processes to prepare for becoming a global company that can operate content in multiple languages – with high quality – with only a relatively small team of content moderators.

We are searching for a team member who wants to take large ownership of Magma's scaling content efforts. To succeed you need to:

• Be passionate about building stuff with big impact 
• Have a big interest in AI and stay up-to-date with the latest releases
• Be very ambitious and like chasing challenging targets
• Be extremely output-oriented and find satisfaction in driving projects to completion
• Eager to learn new things, and have experience of building stuff
• Goal-oriented and accustomed to working towards deadlines in a structured manner
• Great at communicating
• Excellent at giving feedback to others, and adapting to feedback given to you
• Be hardworking and willing to join a fast-paced and rapidly growing startup

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in any field
• Coding skills that enable you to build stuff
• Fluent in English
